Had I known that Hugo Chavez was gonna preside postmortem with a good deal of embalming fluid for the next six years I would have worn red leather and made my reservations to hang out with the Rolling Stones on tour. We all have to make sacrifices.

I kinda stayed up till 4 am watching the Merrie Monarch Festival Live Stream after dancing at the Hui O Sacramento Luau. Came down with a bug and have been laid up for three days now. After three days of rice and poi (pilfered from the luau) I feel much better. Reality bites, and this profile picture scares me. Look Ma, no makeup! Don't wear makeup unless I'm dancing, then I have to wear makeup, slick my hair back and wear funny clothes. Not pretty. And for that I travel great distances and hang out with hula dancers. Dangerous you say, no.... it's the ones who dance in shoes that you should look out for. I once went to an Octoberfest, in Honolulu, and danced with drunk Germans, barefoot. Broke my little toe. Never dance barefoot with drunk Germans. I guess it didn't hurt too much, I was drunk too.
